PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain high-quality outputs even when a capacity of a memory decreases. SOLUTION: When sent data are image data, a CPU 1 writes the data to an image data memory 5 as high gradation data of low resolution (data of 256 gradations with 200dpi). On the other hand, when the sent data are character data, the CPU 1 writes the data to a character data memory 6 as low gradation data of high resolution (data of two gradations with 400dpi). When data of one image are completely written, the data in the image data memory 5 are supplied to a synthesizing circuit 8 via an area gradation table 7. The data from the character data memory 6 are also input to the synthesizing circuit 8. The synthesizing circuit 8 synthesizes the input data and sends out to a printer engine 3. The printer engine 3 prints the data to a predetermined paper, when the printing is completed. |
