SOLUTION: This recording material has an ink receptive layer which is formed on one of the faces of a photopermeable base and shows a total ray permeability of 20-60% and also the ratio Td/Tp between a diffused ray permeability Td and a parallel rays permeability Tp of 12 or more. In this case, the ink receptive layer consists of at least, two layers such as an ink passage layer and an ink absorbing layer which is formed on the base. The ink passage layer contains a resin which is hardly soluble in water and a particle with a refractive index of 1.47-1.60.
