PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate a decoding clock to decode compressed data by using a different period of a clock to read data from an FIFO based on a received coding rate. SOLUTION: The generator is provided with a means that generates a clock to read data by taking a position of detected data and an original data form into account in the case of compressing the data at a coding rate received from a transmission section, a means 11 that receives an external write signal and the clock from the clock generating means and reads data of a number stored in a memory to control a period of the clock, and means 12, 13, 14 that receive an external system clock and a control clock from the control means and provide an output of a decoding clock depending whether or not there are data to be read. |
