SOLUTION: (a) Portland cement and gypsum are mixed at a weight ratio of 1/1-1/4 and water is added to the mixture to prepare slurry A. (b) The slurry A is coated to the molding block. (c) Chopped strands of glass fiber made of a glass that contains >=18wt.% of ZrO2 and has a thermal expansion coefficient of 85-90×10<-7> / deg.C are added to the slurry A in an amount of 1-5wt.% to prepare a fiber-containing slurry C. (d) During the time from the coagulation start of the slurry A coated in the process b to the completion of the coagulation, the fiber-containing slurry is cast into the molding block. (e) Before coagulation starts of the glass fiber-containing slurry C, glass fiber meshes are placed on the slurry C and pressed. (f) After the whole slurries are coagulated, the molded product is released from the molding block and hardened to give the objective incombustible building material.
