PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the leakage waveguide in which leakage holes are not deformed and its manufacture. SOLUTION: Leakage holes 2 are made to a copper plate 3a as a metallic tape (whose thickness is, e.g. about 0.5mm). An adhesive aluminum tape (whose thickness is, e.g., about 0.2mm) 5 being a reinforcement member is adhered to the copper plate 3a to clog the leakage holes 2. The copper plate 3a with the adhesive aluminum tape 5 adhered thereto is processed to be a hollow metallic tube (e.g., whose cross section is elliptic) 3. From the processing of the metallic tape 3a into the hollow metallic tube 3 till forming of corrugation, intrusion of undesired materials into the hollow metallic tube through the leakage holes 2 is prevented. Since a pressing force of the leakage holes 2 is increased when the leakage holes 2 are clogged by the reinforcement member 5, deformation of the leakage holes 2 and production of cracks around the leakage holes 2 are prevented in the case of forming the corrugation to the hollow metallic tube. As a result, the leakage waveguide is obtained in which deformation of the leakage holes 2 resulting in causing deterioration of the characteristic and of the reliability is not produced. |
