PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a board fitting type connector in which the insertion of a counter-connector is not influenced even if a screw whose screw portion length is longer than the sum of the lower wall thickness of a housing and a board plate thickness, an occupying area on the board is small, and of which height is low. SOLUTION: In the housing 10 of a connector 1, a locking portion is provided in the inside (lower side) of an upper side wall 16 forming a fitting recess 14 into which a counter-connecter is inserted. A screw fitting portion 26 which is equipped with a hole 28 for accepting a screw 5 fixing the connecter 1 to the board is integrally formed together with the housing 10 on the back wall 12 lower side of the housing 10. A front wall 30 partitioning the hole 28 is set to be thicker than a confronting rear wall 32. Since the wall 32 is somewhat elongated when the screw 5 is screwed into the hole 28, the screw 5 is moved backward so that the same is not allowed to protrude into the fitting recess 14. |
