PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically switch the navigation function according to regulating condition by judging the present area from the map information, and automatically switching the navigation function on the basis of the retrieved condition information. SOLUTION: Mpa data recorded within a CD-ROM driving device 15 are transmitted to a system control part 7 by use of transmission method such as serial communication or parallel communication. The system control part 7 judges the present area from the map data recorded in a CD-ROM on the basis of the present position data detected by a GPS receiver 5. On the basis of the judges present area, the condition information recorded in the CD-ROM is retrieved. The navigation function is automatically switched on the basis of the retrieved condition information, whereby navigation function can be automatically switched according to the regulating condition of an area even when different regulating conditions of navigation function are provided every traveling area of a vehicle. |
