PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the searching time and perform a guide according to the intention of a driver by selecting the full route searching processing to a destination under such condition that the vehicle went straight a specified number of times at the intersections to be turned. SOLUTION: In a step S17, when it is judged that a guide is not required, or an intersection to be turned is linearly advanced, the counter of a system is counted up by one, it is judged whether the count value of this counter is a specified number of frequencies (n) or more, and when it is below the specified number of frequencies (n), a peripheral route search for returning to the original route is performed. When it is the specified number of frequencies (n) or more, a full route search to a designation is newly perfumed, and the counter value is reset. Thus, since the peripheral route search is stopped to perform the full route search to the designation only when it is judged that the driver intentionally avoids a guide route, the full route search is never unnecessarily performed, or only the peripheral route search is never regularly performed. |
