PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet printer suitable for qradation control of high image quality printing in which the variable rate of the jetting quantity of ink droplet can be increased. SOLUTION: The ink jet printer comprises a pressure chamber for containing a conductive ink, a nozzle hole for jetting the conductive ink, counter electrodes 13, 14 corresponding to a nozzle hole for conducting the conductive ink, and an electrode drive section 17 for driving the counter electrodes 13, 14 wherein one or both of the counter electrodes 13, 14 is provided with a part projecting to the other electrode side. |
