PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly print a combined image to a paper transferred between two or more printers (or image-forming apparatuses), by correctly registering the paper to each printer. SOLUTION: A laser printer 3 starts a printing line only when a laser light is sweeped and reaches one point of a cycle. An ink-jet printer 5 gradually moves a paper by a stepper motor. A switch 9 detects the paper and determines a paper position in a paper path 6 to an official printing position of the laser printer. The closest official position is selected for printing. The paper precedes the selected position or is behind the selected position. A switch 11 detects the paper and determines the paper position in the paper path to an official printing position of the ink-jet printer. |
