PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stator core having good workability for core segment coupling and also having good magnetic characteristics even when producing a stator core by coupling core segments made by laminating core split sheets. SOLUTION: As shown in (b), a circular coupling projection 8b for a plan shape for core segment 7a, and a coupling recess 8a connectable to the coupling projection 8b are formed, this coupling projection 8b of other adjacent core segment 7a is linked to the coupling recess 8a formed to other core segment 7a in a freely rotatably manner exceeding 180 degrees, a core segment series body 9 shown in (c) is produced, and a magnetic circuit as shown in (d) is constituted by making this core segment series body 9 to a ring shape.
