<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the diffusing of the air rising oxygen concn. in the atmosphere in a ladle, even in the case of repeatedly using a cover and to desulfurize molten iron for stainless steel under stable atmosphere. SOLUTION: At the time of desulfurizing the molten iron for stainless steel by inserting the tip part of a lance 10 from a lance inserting hole 21 formed in the cover 20 and while stirring metal and slag by blowing inert gas from the lance 10, an annular recessed part 24 is arranged at the center part in the thickness direction of the cover in the lance inserting hole 21. Plural seal gas jetting hole 15 extended as radiation-state by centering the axis of the ladle 20, are arranged in the lance 10 or the cover 20, and the seal gas jetting holes 15 are opened on the annular recessed part 24. Plural seal gas pipings are arranged in the cover and at the time of opening the individual seal gas piping toward the ladle wall or the upper end surface of the ladle wall, the gas between the corner and the ladle is sealed, too.</p> |
