PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excreta absorbent with the excellent absorptivity of excreta and a high deodorization effect utilizing bentonite. SOLUTION: The bentonite which is mainly sodium bentonite is turned to the grain diameter of 50μm-8000μm and the white fine powder of calcium hydroxide or calcium carbonate is added to it. Especially, the calcium hydroxide or the calcium carbonate is added to the bentonite for 0.1wt.%-10.0wt.% and they are mixed by using a mixer or the like thereafter.
