The system temporarily stores and/or processes goods on a supporting floor, over which a conveyor belt runs. One or more air-supply channels (15,16) are formed in the floor (2) and are open to the top and closed by the belt (7). The channel can run parallel to the belt travel direction, while on the belt is a seal working in the channel and situated near the belt end. A ventilation passage can also be provided, running from a ventilation unit to an opening through the floor and belt.
