PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device detecting abnormal torque imposed on the driving gear train of an image forming device such as a copying machine and informing it to a user. SOLUTION: By the output gear 12 of a motor 12, plural gears 14 and 16 are driven. By the respective gear trains, the loads of a paper feeding device L1 , a process unit L2 and a fixing device L3 constituting the image forming device are driven. The respective gear trains are provided with a torque limiter 100 and the limiters 100 are actuated when the respective loads L1 , L2 and L3 become abnormal and the torque thereof becomes equal to or over a regulated value so as to cut off the transmission of power. By sensors 40 and 80, the stop of the gear is detected and transmitted to a CPU 200. By the CPU 200, the abnormal load is displayed on a display device 210 so as to be informed to the user. |
