<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable always stable detection of the position of a moving body without being affected by road surface conditions or the like and to enhance reliability in automatic drive control. SOLUTION: Reflection antennae 11 are disposed at specified intervals along a lane of a road 1. An antenna assembly 12 is mounted on a bumper area 4 in the front part of a vehicle 3 and connected to a transmitting-receiving section 13. The antenna assembly 12 has a transmitting antenna 12a and receiving antennae 12b, 12c, disposed at specified intervals in the direction of the vehicle 3 width. While the vehicle 3 is running, a high frequency position detection signal is sent from the transmitting antenna 12a, and the reflected waves from a reflecting body 11 are received with the receiving antennae 12b, 12c. The transmitting-receiving section 13 detects the lateral position of the vehicle based on the phase difference and the direction of the phase deviation.</p> |
