PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize effective retrieval processing and fast secondary processing to parallel databases. SOLUTION: A retrieval terminal 11 requests retrieval or secondary processing. A retrieval coordinator 13 refers to partitioned information 16 or cluster set information 15, acquires servers 19a to 19c that analyze and use a retrieval request or a secondary processing request and outputs the retrieval request and the secondary processing request only to the servers 19a to 19c. The servers 19a to 19c perform processing of partitioned databases 21a to 21c and generate and hold cluster sets 22a to 22c based on a retrieval result. The coordinator 13 gathers retrieval results (cluster sets 22a to 22c) which are received from the servers 19a to 19c and processing results and creates and preserves the information 15 and display information 17. Thus, by performing processing only through corresponding servers 19a to 19c, effective retrieval processing and fast secondary processing to parallel databases are realized. |
