PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce adaptive processing steps by controlling engagement of enagagement and releasing side frictional engagement elements according to outputs of a torque sensing means for sensing an input shaft torque, and engagement sensing means for sensing engagement of the connection side frictional engagement element, and thereby dispensing with controlling based on a map value. SOLUTION: In releasing side hydraulic controlling, reduced releasing side hydraulic pressure is further gradually decreased as shown by t1-t2. When the releasing side hydraulic pressure is a transmission torque capacity or lower, a releasing side clutch starts sliding, and torbine rotational number is increased a little as shown by t2. A present input shaft torque is calculated from the releasing side hydraulic pressure value at this time. Hydraulic controlling is performed based on the value. The releasing side hydraulic pressure is feedback controlled. A minute increasing rate is kept with a specified gradient shown by t2-t3. This is kept until dropping of turbine rotational speed is sensed. Afterward, gradual reduction of the releasing side hydraulic pressure is executed until engageing side hydraulic pressure reaches transmission torque capacity. The releasing side hydraulic pressure is abruptly dropped to zero. |
