<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To ensure installation strength by a method wherein a handrail member is arranged at the upper end of a spandrel wall panel, a section between the panel and the handrail member and a section between the handrail member and a wall surface are covered with a finishing carpentry member, the top face of the handrail member and the wall surface are fixed by an L-shaped metal fitting, and the L-shaped metal fitting is covered with the finishing carpentry member. SOLUTION: A handrail member 1 is arranged at the upper end section of a spandrel wall panel 2 disposed along a wall surface 6, and a section between the panel 2 and the handrail member 1 and a section between the handrail member 1 and the wall surface 6 are covered with finishing carpentry members 4, 5. Approximately L-shaped metal fittings 3 are screwed up to the furring strips 7 of the rear of the wall surface 6 by tapping screws for increasing the installation strength of the handrail member 1 at that time. The metal fittings 3 are covered with the finishing carpentry member 5 and appearance is ensured, and fixed onto the wall surface 6 from recessed sections for nailing prepared in a surface by the finishing carpentry members 4, 5 manufactured in the same color as a surface color. The handrail member 1 is composed of a solid material and glued laminated wood, and soft non-slip coating is executed as the resin coating of the surface. Accordingly, even when a person having small grasping power such as the aged, a physically handicapped person, etc., holds a hand on the handrail member 1, slipping is prevented, and the handrail device can assist the person.</p> |
