PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To selectively take out and insert a multiple-wavelength channel without arranging an active element in a transmission path of a wavelength- multiplex transmission system. SOLUTION: This device has taking-out and insertion modules M1k, Mqk, and Mpk including removal filters F1k, Fqk, and Fpk having two opposite ports. An optical switch K provided with a taking-out output part S includes taking-out input parts Qpk and Qpj and insertion output parts Tpk and Tqk which are coupled with the modules and connected to the opposite ports of the filters F1k, Fqk, and Fpk. The switch K is provided so as to couple one taking-out input part Qpk selectively with one insertion output part Tpk or taking-out output part S. |
