摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a satisfactory device which facilitates the detection of abnormal rising in the surface of a photoreceptor and prevents erroneous recognition of surface potential even when inflow current is changed due to photoreceptor variation when a photoreceptor drum is replaced. SOLUTION: The photoreceptor drum 1 is electrified by an electrifier 2, a part of the surface of the electrified photoreceptor drum is exposed by means of an exposure device 3, and the photoreceptor 1 is re-electrified by the electrifier 2 after the exposure. A voltage value, as a current flowing in the photoreceptor drum due to the re-electrification, is measured with the variable resistance R of an ammeter 1a by connecting it to the tube stock of the photoreceptor drum to obtain the information on the surface potential of the photoreceptor drum. Then, the voltage value is compared with a preset voltage- value based on the obtained information.
