PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decide a desired header by hierarchically selecting headers without directly inputting the read of a desired KANJI (Chinese character) mixed character string, to output a corresponding KANJI mixed character string, to reduce the burden of an operator and to improve operability. SOLUTION: When 'KI' is touched from an initial screen (a) on which a leading character of read to be retrieved is selected, 'KI' through 'KINROU' which start with 'KI' of read are divided into five parts and shown (b). When 'KYA to KYUUREKI' is selected, 'KYA' through 'KYUUREKI' are divided into eleven parts and shown (c). When 'KYUUSU to KYUUDAI' is selected, sixteen reads are shown (d). When the read to be retrieved, i.e., 'KYUUSEKKIJIDAI' is selected, a retrieval result 'KYUUSEKKIJIDAI (the Paleolithic Stone Age)' is shown. |
