<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a needle type sensor which is less prone to fail and is capable of detecting, with a great accuracy, the presence/absence of an object without chattering. SOLUTION: This sensor device comprising a motor 2 and a needle 1 connected to the output shaft 3 of the motor 2 is so structured that when the needle 1 abuts against an object 9, the needle rotates and moves from its initial position to an object detecting position by resisting against the torque of the motor, and when the needle 1 becomes disengaged from the object 9, it is restored to its initial position by the torque of the motor 2. The device is further provided with a sensor 5 that produces a signal indicating detection of the object 9 when the needle 1 rotates to the object detecting position.</p> |
