PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rubber-modifying agent capable of modifying the processability of a rubber without deteriorating the physical properties of the rubber to be compounded with the runner-modifying agent, easy in hadleability and excellent in workability. SOLUTION: This rubber-modifying agent comprises (A) an ethylene-α-olefin copolymer rubber comprising one or more copolymers selected from an ethylene-α-3-20C olefin copolymer and an ethylene-α-3-20C olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer. The copolymer A has an ethylene/α-olefin molar ratio of 51/49 to 87/13, an intrinsic viscosity [η] of 0.8-2.5dl/g measured in decahydronaphthalene at 135 deg.C, and an iodine value of 0-40.
