The slider comprises a release lever (31) mounted pivotally on a mobile profile of the slider and moved towards a rest position. A cable (52) links the lever to the back of the seat when the seat back is folded down. A trigger (33) is pivotably mounted on the mobile profile between a blocked position where it holds the lever in its actuation position and a clear position allowing the lever to return to its rest position. The trigger is pushed elastically towards its blocked position. The trigger also comprises an actuating finger (61) which, when in contact with a stop (66,67) fixed on the fixed profile of the slide, displaces the trigger towards its clear position.
