The toilet douche coinsists of a copper ring with oval shape and having a diameter of 12 mm. A short bent pipe of the same diameter is connected with the ring via a tee-piece. At one end of the pipe is a stop tap, provided with a hose connection. The hose can be connected by choice to a mixer tap, enabling cold or hot water to be connected to the ring. On the ring are fitted two bent copper strips, of which the outer ends locate on the edge of the toilet basin. The ring is provided with tiny spray holes of 2 mm. which are drilled into it at an angle of 45 degrees. This means that when the douche is used, the jets of water are directed towards the centre of the ring. On the under side of the toilet seat a soft rubber strip is glued. The strip is 20 mm high and 20 mm wide and prevents water loss. The strip is suspended approximately 6 cm under the edge of the toilet basin.
