Mixed wood and metal cask for ageing wine

The wine cask comprises a re-usable mechanical part and oak laths (2). The mechanical structure is constituted by four beams (1) and two frames (5) constructed from stainless steel. The oak laths are gripped longitudinally by the metal structure against the beam edges, the lath ends being supported on the external edge of each frame. The beams have recesses which enable the passage of hooping bands (9) around the laths to form the cask.
