Address allocation for fire detection system

摘要

The address allocation method involves monitoring the devices suing signals applied to the circuit. Each device has an address which is set op installation of the device. An operation is performed locally at each device causing a signal to be sent to a control unit. A signal is returned to the device indicating an address and setting the address at the controller. The addresses of each device are sequentially set in an incremental fashion. Each device send a confirmation signal to the controller after having its address set. If a device is removed the controller allocates the address of the removed unit to a new unit installed in the system.
