The communication method involves providing for radio communication between mobile stations with multiple access using matched time division multiplexing. Each communication is transmitted in the form of a digital message at the rate determined by a local clock in the transmission station, in the course of time slices within one cycle forming part of a series of similar cycles. Within each time slice the message is preceded by a synchronisation preamble. This synchronisation bit effects a slice by slice reception, after a transitory alignment of the dynamic values of the signal, and the acquisition of this preamble. The synchronisation is effected at the format level by evaluating a local cycle, counting the local clock signal and re-adjusting the local cycle on a reference derived statistically from the stations of the same network, which are detected by the receiver.
