Train head with driver's cab

The driver's cab walls and roof are of laminated material, and are removably fastened to underframe and carriage body. The cab is a self-supporting hood, open at the bottom. It consists of surface-forming plastic components and a metal stiffening frame (7). The frame has longitudinal struts (9,10) for floor-sided connection of the hood to similar struts of the underframe. The cab is also open at the back. It has an inward-drawn circumferential flange on its rear edge, for tight connection to an edge of the carriage body.
