The invention concerns a method of connecting a pane of glass (11) provided with a frame (12) to a component (20) which comprises an opening to be closed by said pane of glass. Mounted on the side of the pane of glass (11) facing the component (20) are two or more plastics holder parts (30) consisting of a primary part (31) and a secondary part (32) equipped with anchoring elements. Each part is provided with an adherent surface, the adherent surfaces being adapted to one another. The primary parts (31) are integrally formed in a predetermined arrangement pattern on the pane of glass (11) and permanently connected thereto. Adhesive is applied to the adhesive surface of one of the two parts (31; 32). The secondary part (32) is combined with the primary part (31) and so permanently connected thereto. The pane of glass (11) and/or the component (20) is/are provided with a bead of adhesive in the region in which they overlap. The pane of glass (11) is laid on the component (20) and the secondary part (32) of each holder part (30) is introduced to such an extent into a through-hole in the component (20) that the anchoring elements adopt their anchorage position, the through-hole being adapted to the secondary part in each case.
