<p>PURPOSE:To extract effectively adenosine triphosphate contained in microorganism in active sludge at room temperature with a simple operation in a short time by adding trichloroacetic acid solution to the active sludge slurry as an extraction agent. CONSTITUTION:Trichloroacetic acid solution is added to an active sludge slurry as an extraction agent so as to extract adenosine triphosphate contained in microorganism in the active sludge. This method can be carried out at room temperature, furthermore, its operation is simple, its operation time is short and an efficiency in extracting adenosine triphosphate is high.</p> |
