摘要 Known methods of this type are not completely satisfactory in terms of their degree of efficiency and their technical usefulness. In order to improve these factors, it is suggested that the separated material flow (7) be initially subjected to a vertical movement and that the magnetic field (magnetic drum, 4) move in horizontal direction underneath, so that the material flow should move initially in a free fall under the influence of the magnetic field, whereby the part or particles with a higher electric conductivity kappa are accelerated to a greater degree in the horizontal direction and the lower-density rho parts or particles are less accelerated in the vertical direction, so that the part or particles with the highest separation factor kappa / rho are diverted first and to the greatest degree from the drop line in a horizontal direction and the material flow is fractionated correspondingly. The eddy current separator to be developed in order to implement the method should enable a separation of electronically conductive particles according to the material separation factor kappa / rho . The device is so designed that acceleration and deviation of particles from the material flow occur according to the separation factor.
