The invention relates to a hydraulic manual device (1) with a traction/pressure device, e.g. a punching machine, comprising a hydraulic piston (5) which moves in relation to the cylinder housing (25), a pressure pad member (2) and a fixing device (3), e.g. for a piercing punch. In order to achieve improved and simpler construction of said device the fixing device (3) is firmly connected to the cylinder housing (25) and the pressure pad member (2) can be moved by the hydraulic piston (5) in relation to the fixing device (3).
