Disclosed is a support technique and device for the outer aperture section of a blank, to be used when a thermoplastic blank is expanded by a pressurized agent inside a blowing mould. In order to avoid a widening of the aperture section during the blowing process, a support sleeve is pushed over said mouth section. The support sleeve is maintained by a supporting element which can be positionned relative to the blowing mould along the longitudinal axis of the latter.
