摘要 1377637 Olefin ammoxidation catalysts NITTO CHEMICAL INDUSTRY CO Ltd 10 Dec 1971 [11 Dec 1970 16 Feb 1971] 57569/71 Heading B1E [Also in Division C2] A catalyst for use in the preparation of methacrylonitrile by the ammoxidation of isobutene comprises (a) a composition having the empirical formula Fe 10 Sb 5-60 Me z Te 0.05-5 X 0-5 O 20-225 wherein Me is selected from vanadium, molydenum and tungsten, X is selected from boron and phosphorus and z is greater than 1 but not greater than 10 and, optionally, (b) carrier material selected from silica, alumina, silicaalumina, zirconia, silicon carbide and inorganic silicates in an amount which may constitute from 10 to 90 weight per cent of the catalyst. The catalyst also may contain an additive, for example binding agent or filler. Details are given in the Specification of the preparation, by generally conventional methods, of (i) silicasupported catalysts containing either vanadium or molybdenum or tungsten but containing neither boron nor phosphorus, (ii) more complex catalysts having the following empirical formulae: Fe 10 Sb 10 Mo 2 TePO 45À5 .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 5 Mo 1À5 Te 2 BO 35 .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 25 V 2 WTe 2 O 77 .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 10 V 1À5 TePO 43 .60 SiO 2 ; and Fe 10 Sb 5 V 2 Te 2 BO 37 .60 SiO 2 , and (iii) comparison catalysts having the following empirical formulae: Fe 10 Sb 15 O 45 .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 25 Te 2 O 69 .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 10 Mo 2o Te 2 O 99 .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 10 Mo 5 O 5o .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 10 V 2o Te 2 O 89 .60 SiO 2 ; Fe 10 Sb 10 W 15 O 5o .60 SiO 2 ; and Fe 10 Sb 2o W 0À5 Te 2 O 61 .60 SiO 2 . The catalyst may be in the form of pellets, for example cylinders 2 mm by 2 mm in size, for use in fixed bed reactors or of powder, for example having a particle size of 10-100 microns, for use in fluidised bed reactors. Reference is made to Specifications 1,257,489 and 1,283,369.
