The unit has a heat-exchanger which is enclosed in a cold-air passage, so that hot air is mixed with cold air within a chamber (17). The air supply being controlled by shutters (21,22) which formed as swinging flaps and are mounted directly at the inlet ports (19,20) of the chamber. The shutters are arranged so that the shutter swivel axes (211) are at right angles relative to each other.
