PURPOSE:To make it possible to send out almost all ink to a waste ink storage member from the inside of a pump by a method wherein by initial several drivings of a plurality of drivings of a piston, ink is taken into a pump sufficiently from an acceptance member with less back flows, and during a final designated drivings, the piston is driven at a full stroke. CONSTITUTION:When a piston 525 runs over a valve port 531 and further advances to the right, since the piston 525 is pressed by and joined to a shaft flange part of the piston 527a fromt be left side, generated negative pressure is transmitted to a carriage side 51 without leaking to others. Also, ink which has stayed on the right side of the piston 525 is pushed out to a waste ink tank. In this case, a pump 53 does not have a member which is equivalent to a valve for a normal pump, and there are occasions in which back flow generates to a cap 51 side when positive pressure generates in the pump. Therefore, by keeping the valve mouth 531 closed with the piston 525 unless it is required to be opened, back flows can be reduced. |
