The invention relates to an accidental arc absorber device (SA) with several absorber elements for pressure relief and heat dissipation of gases from the switchgear, particularly for medium voltage switchgear. The absorber elements are formed of identically shaped non-aligned perforated plates (LB1, 2, 3), which are laminarly arranged within the accidental arc absorber device (SA). Accidental arc absorber devices are used for pressure relief and heat dissipation in medium voltage switchgear.
