<p>A copper component and a phosphor component are carried on a catalyst carrier which includes a pentasil-type crystalline aluminosilicate. The catalyst carrier is produced by dipping a carrier in a solution which contains the copper component and the phosphor component or a buffer agent and of which the pH value is adjusted with ammonia, and adding an acid to the solution to adjust the pH value to not higher than 7.0. Thus a catalyst for cleaning exhaust gas having an excellent durability and a high nitrogen oxide removal rate is produced.</p> |
