<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate noise component from a picture signal and to enhance the degree of the filter by using a frame memory to allow a decoded picture signal to pass through a 2-dimensional LPF for plural number of times and making the number of times of passing adaptive timewise and specemise. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal inputted from an input terminal 1 is outputted to a signal terminal 5 as a decoded picture signal via a coder 2 and a decoder 4. The picture signal is inputted to a selection circuit 84 of a filter block (LPF) 6. A circuit 84 selects an input picture signal from a memory 83 under the control of a filter input selection signal 86 outputted from a control circuit 82, the output is inputted to a selection circuit 68 via a succeeding linear LPF and inputted to a selection circuit 69 via a next stage LPF. The circuits 68, 69 compare the signal with a signal not subject to filter processing and select the signal subject to filter processing when the absolute value of the difference is within a prescribed threshold level T, and select the signal not subject to filter processing when the value exceeds the level T, and output the selected signal.</p> |
