The present invention aims at enhancing the sensitivity of an optical time-domain reflectometer (10) with no increase of the light source (30) radiating power. For that purpose, it is suggested that, instead of using a static beam splitter, for example a semi-transparent mirror or 2*2-richtkopper, an optical filter stripper be used to target both the light source on the associated object to be measured (60) and the latter (60) on the associated light-sensitive detector (70). This enables the potential of the conventional optical time-domain reflectometers to be better used and their sensitivity to be increased. |
