The invention concerns an oxidation dyeing composition for keratinous fibers, in particular for human keratinous fibers such as hair containing, in a medium appropriate for dyeing, at least a precursor of oxidation dye and at least one coupling agent, characterised in that it contains, as precursor of oxidation dye, 2-fluoro 4-aminophenol or one of its addition salts with an acid, and as coupling agent, at least a meta-aminophenol and/or a meta-phenylenediamine suitably selected. The invention also concerns the use of this composition for dyeing keratinous fibers, in particular hair.
