The headrest (1) has a guide section (2), connected to the backrest (3), and a counter section (4) sliding on the guide section. The guide section is fastened to the backrest pivoted about a horizontal axis (7), and has a forced control device to pivot it forward dependant upon increasing height of the headrest. The forced control device is formed by the counter section, a part fastened to it, and a backrest-fastened element engaging with the first part. Counter section or part has a guide track, engaging with a backrest-fastened journal (5).
