Combination of vasodilator, microspheres and nitro-glycerine

A combination of a blood flow promoting medicament (I) and microspheres (II) of particle size 20-200 mu m provides: (i) a detectable elevated concentration of technetium-99m in selected organs or tissue regions, while only low Tc-99m activity is detectable in other body organs; and (ii) detectable higher Tc-99m concentrations in the special organs or tissues to be treated for some minutes longer. (I) is homogeneously mixed with 0.012-0.025 mg/kg of nitroglycerin (III) then combined with (II), (I) being miscible with (II) and (III). A subsequently used main medicament (IV) for selective treatment of diseased regions is administered arterially or locally (i.e. not by oral or intravenous systemic administration) to provide higher concentrations than obtained in systemic therapy.
