The invention concerns a device for distance measuring with maximum accuracy to the nearest millimetre using a laser diode, an optical transceiver with lens and prism, a photodetector and an amplifier chain the output of which is fed back on the laser diode. An electrically controlled optical attenuator provides a constant signal in the detector output, independently of the distance. Commutated optical fibres permanently recalibrate the distance, and temperature transducers distributed in the apparatus deliver a signal processed by a microcontroller for eliminating thermal drifts. |
