The invention concerns an autonomous portable device for destroying noxious burrowing animals such as moles and brown rats. The invention is characterised in that the combustible part producing the toxic gases is set on the ground itself, or in a nozzle (fig. 2, 3), and a hooded lid (fig. 1, 1) and (fig. 2, 1), covers the hole of the previously opened run, and a fan (fig. 1, 2) and (fig. 2, 2) driven by an electric motor (fig. 1, 2) and (fig. 2, 2) is connected to a rechargeable battery (fig. 1, 3). A strap (fig. 1, 5) enables the device to be placed within comfortable reach of the user.
