Image projection method

A flat translucent plastics sheet (1) with roughened top surface (2) takes the projected image (3), using a coating (4) to receive the projected image and to smooth out the roughened surface (2), thus produce a smooth face (5). This coating (4) contains pigments and is applied by pen, brush, printed ribbon, printing or ink jet. The coating also contains additives to produce a highly smooth surface, or again contains additives to wet the roughened surface (2). Thus, the plastics film (1) with its roughened surface (2) and the image (3) are placed in the sourced (6) projection light path (7) so the light (8) passing through surface (2) is necessarily broken up and weakened as opposed to light (9) passing through the coating (4) which is projected in a straight line onto the projection surface (10), thus reducing the brightness of the area round the projected image (12).
