<p>Process for the biological purificn. of water comprises forming a reserve for zooplankton in a body of water. The encircling boundary wall allows zooplankton to enter, but keeps predators out. The reserve is set at the depth where zooplankton multiplication is greatest. Also claimed is a device for carrying out the process.</p>
