The housing (1) has a gas-inlet side chamber (3), a gas-outlet chamber (2) and at least one through-hole (4) with a valve seating (5). An adjustment (6) has a lifting armature (7) and at least one valve disc (8). A control magnet arrangement has a coil (9) for the lifting armature, and a closure spring (10) acting on the adjustment. The adjustment has a thrust element (15) which is positioned with a gap (a) between it and the stop face (14) of a tensioning appliance (13). The thrust element stops against the stop face when the adjustment is lifted for opening. An auxiliary spring (11) is tensioned as the opening lift for the adjustment is continued.
